Mission Moments

Here is a spot on my website to invite others in to see God at work locally and around the world. Would you pray about contributing a short piece? It would be 300 to 500 words and maybe a bit more plus a picture or two if you have available. The goal is to highlight the beauty of God’s activity just enough to whet their appetite to both discover more and spur them on to finding a place of their own to plug into. The media is hard at work presenting news for us to ponder. Whether accurate or not, a pretty grim picture gets painted upon our screens. Yet God IS working in amazing ways through His children locally and all over the world. I’ve had opportunities in the prison and the jungle, with the homeless and the affluent, alongside the recovering and the dying. In it all God has made Himself known in precious ways. We have hope that doesn’t fade. Please share your story, from spotting a person crossing an elderly one across the street to full-time missionaries working on Bible translation and church planting.

Howdy Neighbor…

In days of old, one might shout over a neighborhood fence and regularly catch up on each other’s lives. Those days are mostly past but thanks to media, we can still stay in touch. Jobs may transfer us to new locations, families fragment and move away but all still preside in our heart.

My hope is to introduce you to a few new friends from across the globe and maybe even expand your family.

This is the place we get to peer in and see God at work from afar. I have been blessed with opportunity to travel and serve in ways I’ve never imagined possible. But God… I have passed beyond airport gates and prison bars, connecting with others of different cultures, countries and backgrounds. My heart has grown as has my family in Christ. Come on over, no passport or key required
